Topamax Drug Interactions

To reduce the risk of developing Topamax drug interactions, make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are currently taking. Medicines that may cause drug interactions with Topamax include metformin, oral contraceptives, hydrochlorothiazide, and pioglitazone. These interactions can potentially reduce the effectiveness of the drugs or lead to side effects such as excessive drowsiness, kidney stones, confusion, and decreased sweating.
