Primidone Dosing

General Primidone Dosing Information

Some considerations for people taking primidone include the following:
 
  • Primidone comes in tablet form and is taken by mouth one to three times daily.
     
  • Primidone can be taken with or without food. If primidone bothers your stomach, try taking it with food.
     
  • Primidone should be taken at the same time(s) each day to maintain an even level of the drug in your blood.
     
  • If you are unsure about anything related to primidone or your primidone dosage, talk to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. Do not stop taking the drug without discussing it with your healthcare provider (see Primidone Withdrawal).
