Who Should Not Take Primidone?

You should not take primidone if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Mysoline, primidone, or any of the inactive components used to make primidone. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
  • Are allergic to phenobarbital (Luminal®), a very similar medication.
  • Have porphyria.
