Phenytek Drug Interactions

Rifampin

Salicylates
Salicylates can raise the amount of Phenytek in your blood, increasing your risk of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to measure the level of Phenytek in your blood and adjust your dose as necessary.
 
Sertraline
Sertraline may increase Phenytek levels in the blood, and Phenytek may make sertraline less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
 
Simvastatin
Phenytek may decrease the level of simvastatin in your bloodstream, perhaps making it less effective. While this is not a particularly dangerous interaction, your healthcare provider may want to monitor your cholesterol levels to make sure simvastatin remains effective for you.
 
St. John's Wort
