Phenytek Drug Interactions

Furosemide
Phenytek may make furosemide less effective. If you are taking these drugs together, your healthcare provider may need to increase your furosemide dosage.
 
General Anesthesia Drugs
Some medications used for general anesthesia may interact with Phenytek. Phenytek may make some of these medications less effective, and some of them may increase the level of Phenytek in the blood. Make sure your anesthesiologist knows that you are taking Phenytek.
 
H2 Blockers
H2 blockers (even nonprescription ones) can raise the amount of Phenytek in your blood, increasing your risk of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to measure the level of Phenytek in your blood and adjust your dose as necessary.
 
Isoniazid
Isoniazid can raise the amount of Phenytek in your blood, increasing your risk of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to measure the level of Phenytek in your blood and adjust your dose as necessary.
 
Methylphenidate 
Methylphenidate can raise the amount of Phenytek in your blood, increasing your risk of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to measure the level of Phenytek in your blood and adjust your dose as necessary.
 
Mexiletine
Phenytek may decrease the level of mexiletine in the bloodstream, perhaps making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these drugs together.
 
Nisoldipine
Phenytek may decrease the level of nisoldipine in the bloodstream, perhaps making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these drugs together.
