Adults and children over 12 years old being treated for partial seizures typically start with the 300 mg Neurontin tablets (one tablet, three times a day). If your seizures are not under control, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage up to a maximum of 800 mg three times daily.

The recommended starting Neurontin dose for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia is 300 mg taken once on the first day, 300 mg taken twice daily on the second day, and 300 mg of Neurontin taken three times daily on the third day. In order to control your pain, your healthcare provider may further increase your dose as necessary.
