This medicine is available by prescription only and comes in tablet and capsule form. Neurontin liquid (sold as Neurontin oral solution 250 mg per 5 mL, which is equivalent to 250 mg per teaspoonful) is also available for people who have trouble swallowing tablets or capsules. The medicine is taken by mouth, typically one to three times a day. It is important to take Neurontin at the same time(s) each day to maintain an even level of medication in your blood.
