Epilepsy Home > Lamictal 100 mg Tablets

Lamictal® (lamotrigine) is a medication licensed to treat epileptic seizures and bipolar disorder. It comes in tablet form (regular tablets, orally disintegrating tablets, and "chewable dispersible" tablets) and is available by prescription only. Regular Lamictal tablets and orally disintegrating tablets are available in the following strengths:
  • 25 mg Lamictal tablets
  • 100 mg Lamictal tablets
  • 150 mg Lamictal tablets
  • 200 mg Lamictal tablets.
Dosing for Lamictal is complicated. Not only will the recommended dose change, depending on other medications you are taking or other medical conditions you have, but Lamictal must be started at a low dose and increased slowly for up to seven weeks, which can be confusing for people.
Be sure to let your doctor know about every medication you are taking, as well as other medical conditions you have (especially kidney or liver problems).
(Click Lamictal Dosage for more information on how dosing works for Lamictal and to find out what factors your healthcare provider may consider before making a dosage recommendation for your situation.)
