Lyrica Indications

There are several different indications for Lyrica® (pregabalin). This prescription medication is approved to treat various conditions, including:
 
 
The medicine is also occasionally used in an "off-label" fashion to treat other conditions. Some of these off-label uses include the treatment of:
 
  • Anxiety
  • Moderate pain, such as after a dental procedure.
 
While it is not entirely clear how Lyrica works, it is believed to work by affecting certain calcium channels in the central nervous system.
