Lyrica Drug Interactions

Alcohol, benzodiazepines, and sleep medications are some of the drugs that can potentially interact with Lyrica. These Lyrica drug interactions can increase your risk of side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, and confusion. Therefore, to reduce your risk of Lyrica interactions, be sure to talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider (prior to taking Lyrica) about the specific interactions that may apply to you.

 

An Overview of Lyrica Drug Interactions

Lyrica® (pregabalin) can potentially interact with a few other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to Lyrica interactions include:
 
  • Alcohol
  • Anesthetics
  • Barbiturates, including:

 

    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
    • Secobarbital (Seconal®)

 

  • Benzodiazepines, such as:

 

 

  • Narcotics or opiates, such as morphine, oxycodone (OxyContin®), or hydrocodone (Lortab®, Vicodin®)
  • Sleep medications.
