Lyrica 50 mg Capsules

A healthcare provider may prescribe Lyrica® (pregabalin) 50 mg capsules to treat several conditions, such as nerve pain, epilepsy, or fibromyalgia. For example, the recommended starting dosage for treating nerve pain due to diabetic neuropathy is Lyrica 50 mg capsules taken three times daily. Your healthcare provider may increase your dose (up to a maximum of 100 mg three times daily) within a week, if necessary to control your pain.
For treating epileptic seizures or postherpetic neuralgia, the recommended starting dose is Lyrica 50 mg capsules, taken three times daily. Your healthcare provider can increase this amount as necessary to control your symptoms. If you have kidney disease, however, you may need a lower dosage.
The exact amount you are prescribed will vary, based on factors such as the medical condition being treated, other medical conditions you may have, and other medications you are taking. Do not adjust this amount unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.
