Eight strengths of
Lyrica® (
pregabalin) are available. Lyrica 25 mg capsules are the lowest strength. A healthcare provider may prescribe this drug to treat conditions such as nerve pain,
epilepsy, and
fibromyalgia. However, your dosage will be based on several factors, such as the medical condition being treated and other medical conditions you may have.
Lyrica 25 mg capsules are taken by mouth, usually two or three times daily. You can take the medication with or without food, but may want to take it with food if you experience stomach upset. For Lyrica to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed. Do not stop taking the drug without first discussing it with your healthcare provider. If you are unsure about anything related to Lyrica dosing, talk with your healthcare provider, nurse, or pharmacist.
