When treating nerve pain, epileptic
seizures, or
fibromyalgia, a healthcare provider may prescribe
Lyrica® (
pregabalin) 200 mg capsules. In most cases, however, a lower starting dosage is prescribed, and your healthcare provider will slowly increase this amount as necessary to control your symptoms. Your healthcare provider will consider several factors before determining an appropriate dose, such as the condition being treated and other medical conditions you may have.
You can take Lyrica 200 mg capsules with or without food. If the medication upsets your stomach, try taking it with food. The dose should be taken at the same times each day to maintain an even level in your blood. In addition, for the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed. Lyrica will not work if you stop taking it.
If you are unsure about anything related to dosing with Lyrica, talk with your healthcare provider, nurse, or pharmacist. Do not stop taking the drug without first discussing it with your healthcare provider.
