Although most people have no problems with Lamictal® (lamotrigine), this medication is not suitable for everyone. Before starting treatment, talk to your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you may have and any other medications you are taking (including nonprescription medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements). For instance, you may not be able to take Lamictal safely if you have certain medical conditions, such as kidney, liver disease, or a bleeding disorder.
