Lamictal Reactions

Lamictal^® (lamotrigine) is a prescription medicine used for treating epileptic seizures and bipolar disorder. As with any medication, it is possible to develop allergic reactions to Lamictal. Possible signs of an allergic reaction include:

Hives or any rash
Fever
Swollen lymph nodes (swollen "glands")
Painful sores in or around the mouth or eyes
Swelling of the lips or tongue.

There are a number of other side effects that have been reported with Lamictal. In clinical studies, some of the most commonly reported side effects included coordination problems, dizziness, double vision, and headaches. In most cases, side effects of Lamictal are minor and either do not require medical attention or can be treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.
