When Does Klonopin Start Working?

Klonopin® (clonazepam) is a prescription medicine approved for treating epileptic seizures and panic disorder. It belongs to a class of drugs that is known to reduce anxiety, stop seizures, cause sleepiness, relax muscles, and impair short-term memory. This medicine has been shown to be very effective for improving symptoms of panic disorder and reducing seizures.

When working with Klonopin, your healthcare provider will typically start you on a low dosage and gradually increase it as necessary for controlling symptoms. The medicine is taken by mouth, typically two to three times a day. This helps to maintain an even level of medication in your system, which helps to better control symptoms.
