Generic Klonopin

All of the patents for Klonopin have expired, and several companies make a generic version of the drug. Generic Klonopin tablets are available in three strengths; the orally disintegrating tablets are available in five strengths. The FDA has assigned all versions of generic Klonopin an "AB" or "AP" rating, which means the generic versions should be equivalent to the brand-name medication.

 

Generic Klonopin: An Overview

Klonopin® (clonazepam) is a prescription medication approved to treat panic disorder and certain types of seizures. It is part of a group of medications called benzodiazepines.
 
Currently, Klonopin is made by Hoffmann-La Roche, Inc. However, the patents for Klonopin have expired and several companies make a generic version of the drug.

  • Clonazepam 0.5 mg
  • Clonazepam 1 mg
