Epilepsy? Epilepsey is a common misspelling of epilepsy.
A person is considered to have epilepsy when he or she has had two or more seizures. Epilepsy is a brain disorder that can be caused by anything that disturbs the normal pattern of neuron activity, including illness, brain damage, or abnormal brain development. Although incurable, the condition can usually be controlled with medications and surgical techniques. Research on the underlying causes of epilepsy has led to an improved understanding of the disorder that may lead to more effective treatments or ways of preventing it.
