Dilantin

phenytoin) is a prescription medicine that is licensed for treating certain
types of seizures in people with
epilepsy. The drug works by affecting sodium channels in the brain, which helps to control complex partial
seizures, generalized tonic-clonic
seizures, and seizures during brain surgery.
Dilantin comes in chewable tablets, extended-release capsules, and an oral suspension. If you forget to take your dose of Dilantin as scheduled, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double your dose of the medication.
