Diazepam Dosing? Diazapam dosage is a common misspelling and variation of diazepam dosing.
The recommended dose of diazepam (
Valium®) for the treatment of
anxiety or
seizures is 2 mg to 10 mg two to four times a day. For most people with muscle spasms, diazepam dosing starts at 2 mg to 10 mg three or four times daily.
Elderly people are required to take a lower starting diazepam dose, since they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine. Children who are six months of age and older are recommended to take a dosage of 1 mg to 2.5 mg three or four times a day. While diazepam can be taken with or without food, you may want to try taking it with food if it bothers your stomach.
